Queer and LGBTQIA+ couples therapy, right across Australia. No one handed you a map for this — so we skip the explaining and get to the work: finding the miss, and reaching for each other again.

No one hands queer couples a map. You've had to invent more of your relationship than most — who you are to each other, what family means, how you love out loud. Most therapy wasn't built for that. Here, it's the starting point, not the thing you have to explain — so we skip the explaining and get to the work that counts: the reaching, the missing, the finding your way back.
Three unhurried steps — from a no-pressure hello to ongoing work at a pace that suits you.

A relaxed 90-minute session, online from your own couch. We start with what's been happening — no diving into the deep end.
75-minute sessions at a rhythm that suits you. No blame, no taking sides — steady work on the pattern underneath, until you're reaching for each other again.
You won't have to explain what it's like to be you, or bring your therapist up to speed first. Led from inside the community, and a safe space for every culture, body and relationship.
The practical repair skills of the Gottman Method (Level 2), and Esther Perel's eye for desire and aliveness — well-researched approaches, reshaped for how queer relationships really work.
No blame, no taking sides. My client isn't either of you — it's the relationship itself, the living thing between you all. I listen for what it's been trying to say, and help you find your way back to each other.
Meet from your own couch — a capital city, a regional town, anywhere the map reaches. Secure video, no waiting room, no commute.

The same argument on a loop. The silence that's easier than the fight. The distance that crept in while you were all just getting through the week.
It's rarely about not caring.
It's the miss — the moment one of you reaches and doesn't quite land.
It runs on a loop you can't see from the inside. My job is to help you name it together, build the few moves that break it, and get you reaching for each other again — not just fighting less.

When did you last feel truly wanted by the people who know you best?
Whoever you are, and however you love. Together for years, or on your first hard conversation. Married, or building something all your own. Two of you, or more than two. Monogamous, open, or polyamorous. Trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse partners, welcome exactly as you are. Questioning, exploring, or somewhere you don't have a word for yet — you're welcome exactly as you are, whatever's shifting. Every kind of us belongs here.

I'm a couples therapist — and I'm queer myself. I know what it's like to walk into a room and spend the first while explaining your own life before anyone can help you with it. I built Queer Love Lounge so that here, you never have to.
You've had to invent more of your relationship than most — with far fewer maps to go by. There's real skill in that. My job is to help you draw a few of the ones you were never handed.
This practice is queer- and Aboriginal-led. As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker trained in the Gottman Method (Level 2) and Esther Perel's approach, I've reshaped both for how queer relationships actually move — at a pace that stays unhurried. I call it the Lounge Method: pull up a chair, find the miss, reach again.
This is the heart of the Gottman work I'm trained in: the couples who last aren't the ones who never rupture — they're the ones who repair, and find their way back within the hour. That's a skill, and it's learnable.
We meet over secure video — you and your partner or partners, from your own space. Comfortable clothes, a cup of tea, and the names, pronouns and words you use for your relationship — all welcome.
No diving into the deep end. We begin with how you got here — your history together, what's changed, what's been happening lately — so we can name the strengths you're already standing on, and the pattern that keeps tripping you up.
I'm not here to decide who's right. When things go wrong, it's rarely one person — it's the cycle you're caught in together. My job is to help you step outside it and see it clearly.
You'll leave with the start of a map — a clearer sense of what's driving the distance between you, what's already working, and a first step you can take toward each other.
